I don’t want a commission on the Capitol Insurrection, I want Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré, who led a review of security at the Capitol in the wake of the riot, recommendations put in place IMMEDIATELY. Maybe Democrat leadership can forgive, but I sure as hell am not ready to put this nation through another attack. Republicans have shown zero signs of change, they are the same lawmakers who stood by the single greatest threat to our democracy on January 6th as they are today. Families are still being torn apart by Republicans hate speech and just yesterday the GQP was spreading lies about the origin of the B 1.1.7 variants -stating the surge was a direct connection to Biden’s response at the southern border. Republicans are still enacting legislation to marginalized voters and benefit elites. They have not lifted a single finger to restore this nation, or shown any willingness to support legislation that the major of Americans, including those from their party support. Do not normalize their behavior, do not cave. Protect and defend this country from all enemies both with in and without from all threats both intentionally and due to willful ignorance!

We should ALL fight restricting voting laws. We should do everything we can to ensure every eligible American votes.

The biggest lie in the country right now is that the Georgia voting law is racist and is voter suppressive. Read the damn bill.

Voter Issue: More businesses and now actors, i.e. Will Smith, are getting involved. This is a good example of dictatorship. Do as I say or suffer the consequences. Unfortunately, the only ones they are hurting is the people of Georgia.

What’s happening in GA is an excellent example of what happens when groups of people, primarily BIPOC, use their creativity, think out of the box, and get people out to vote. As long as people are NOT told who to vote for, why should it matter if they car pool, go in vans or in church busses. The long lines people had to endure were caused by administrative decisions to either understaff or close down polls in BIPOC communities. In my state, we’ve been voting by mail for years, neighborhood mailboxes were removed. They’re now back in place. So giving water to people waiting on long lines that the previous government created is illegal. CEOs, Will Smith and any other American who feels they want to boycott GA- more power to them. Boycotts hurt everybody. Remember Montgomery and South Africa boycotts. When you mess with the $, you get liberation!

Voting Issue: Noting that the actions taken by these businesses and actors are punishing the people of Georgia, why are the Democrats silent? Why are the Democrats not crying racism like they do for everything else, especially considering that Georgia is one of the top states with the highest percentage of blacks. Only goes to show you that the Democrats could care less about the black population; they only use them when it suits their purposes.

Voting: this is getting pathetic let’s debate the issue. Why can’t one of the media outlets arrange a debate for all to see? The ratings would be high. What are they afraid of?

Voting should have integrity with ID requirements and should be a single day, I also believe that businesses should offer voluntary paid time to allow employees to vote but not legislated. I also believe that publicly owned businesses should stay out of politics.

There is something seriously wrong in Minnesota. Who is training the police? How often do they get training? Is there funds for their training? Shame on the leaders in Minnesota to fail again in another devastating death of an unarmed American black man. After George Floyd one would think this type of sentinel event would lead to major police reform and retraining but apparently not. Instead of defunding police you have to fund the police so they can get the training they need. Also the hiring has to be done based on competency!! Not diversity. If hospitals hired doctors for diversity rather than competency would you not have a problem with that? Equity in regards to race is not always good and should not be the goal for every facet in our society. This is what the nation should be talking about but instead it’s about race and not competence. It’s completely backwards.

At this moment I am much more concerned about republicans trying to suppress Americans right to vote. Imho any politician who actively tries to suppress Americans right to vote must be charged with sedition

Yes and yes! Everyone should care about our democracy! It doesn’t matter what your profession is. It’s their right too. You don’t like it go open your own business in Georgia since some of you racists care so much. Use your muscles not your mouth to try and shame people out of politics. I don’t know why people don’t want movie stars to be political. They have just as much right as anyone else to care about their country. You can’t knock out a group of people because you don’t like what they are saying. They pay taxes and are citizens. You don’t like it turn your head and close your ears. 70 million of you are already good at turning a blind eye to people being abused by the system. You ignore the cries of innocent people you demand be born. Then you blame them and mock their pain. That’s why some police are scared they know the shit they have done under the guise of a badge!

Yes, it’s time for people and businesses to be on the right side and appose restrictions to voting rights! I see the Governor of Florida is threatening business if the publicly appose restrictions on voting rights! We are supposed to be the example of democracy to the world, we can not be a leader in restrictions of voting rights! Republicans across the nation have introduced over a 100 bills restricting voting rights! History will remember these Jim- Crow actions!
