The latest: Hostage negotiations are at a "critical and final stage."
The deal is said to include a multi-day pause in fighting, and the release of 50 hostages in exchange for Palestinian women and children being held in Israel.
There are a total of 83 Palestinian women and 380 teenagers under the age of 18 imprisoned by Israel in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Israel, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club, an NGO.

Last week, the White House released its National Climate Assessment, a compendium of scientific knowledge and predictions on the impacts of climate change on American life. The report concludes that the climate crisis will impact every aspect of life, from food to the economy to cultural heritage.

Biden pardons Thanksgiving turkeys 'Liberty' and 'Bell'
Yesterday, President Joe Biden participated in the annual White House turkey pardon, granting a reprieve to Liberty and Bell.
Following the ceremony, Liberty and Bell will return to their home state, where they will retire at the University of Minnesota College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resources Sciences.
