This bill was enacted on November 26, 2014
This bill would rename the post office at 35 Park Street in Danville, Vermont the "Thaddeus Stevens Post Office." Stevens, who lived from 1792 to 1868, was a member of the House of Representatives from 1859 to the time of his death. Stevens was a member of the "Radical Republicans," a group of anti-slavery, pro-civil rights American politicians who opposed Lincoln and sought voting rights for freedmen.
