@Andrea & @Robert, great question! How can you help our oceans even if you don’t live near one: 1.Stop using single use plastics. (Use reusable grocery bags, carry your own straw, use real utensils, etc.) 2. Reduce or stop eating fish/shellfish. 3. Check out the link Causes provided for WinTogether.. 4. Research the issue. 5. Write to your representatives urging them to protect our oceans and move towards greener, more renewable sources of energy. You can be part of the solution. Hopefully Netanyahu will not be recycled but plastic will, especially if we take ownership of the issue and support environmental groups such as: 4ocean; Oceana; the Ocean Conservancy; Friends of the Earth; Center For Biological Diversity and others that are earnestly committed to make a difference. I now live by the ocean. In the past year, I have personally picked up a handful of garbage walking the beach and retrieved a perfectly good exercise ball and a floating beer bottle from the river. This will hardly make a difference. The problem is the massive amount of packaging and other single use plastics that have taken over the planet. Open a typical delivery from Amazon and there is more throw away plastic in the box than there is item that you actually paid for. Only around 6% of all plastic is recycled so people believe that setting out recycling every week is fulfilling their moral duty. It’s not. Manufacturers of goods and foods have to figure this out as in more sustainable packaging or a biodegradable plastic. It may cost consumers more but I’m willing to pay.

Causes, thank you for partnering with WinTogether! Plastics & ghost nests must be removed from our oceans. At the same time the world must stop over-fishing, decreasing the consumption of fish, and reduce our carbon footprint/tackle global warming. This list is NOT small & will take an immediate worldwide effort. Life on this planet began in our oceans. My fear, is that this is where it will end.

So what did Causes miss this week: 1: Unemployment Fraud: Reports of major unemployment fraud related to Covid-19 transpired to the tune of $400 billion. 2: BLM: One of the co-founders stepped down, while $90 million donated dollars are MIA. Is this the same co-founder that just bought a few homes at a cost over 1 million each? 3: Racial Backlash: The racial attacks/obsessions to create division by the Democrats are definately working in their very own party. Omar is at it again, but this time, her own party is attacking her. 4: Harris Border Interviews: Why should she go to the border. She hasn't been to Europe either. These are just a few items that Causes missed. I wonder why?????

Aside from a summary of bills being considered by Congress, Causes mostly posts topics that are in the news cycle. And, as we all know or should know, just because it is in the news cycle, doesn't mean its true. But never-the-less, they post it to serve as a topic of discussion. During the Trump administration, they could not help themselves. They posted ever little thing, whether it was true or not. This is what Trump said or did, what do you think. Causes is definately bias in what they print, so my comments reflected what they missed. Just for the record, what I said about Racist backlash and Harris' Border Interviews are facts, whereas, comments made about unemployment fraud, some of it has been investigated and found to be verified/proven, but the investigations continue, even possible involvement by China and Russia. The $$ number I mentioned still stands. In terms of BLM comments, while you are right, the donations for 2020 was $90 million, I used the term MIA because reports are stating that this money is not reaching the local activists. The point is if the local activists are not receiving the money, where is it going, thereby justifying a call for an investigation.

Let see South Africa and Asia have the highest amount of plastic pollution in the world? The question is, is it because the rest of the world using there Region as the dumping ground to manage their waste? In the Pacific Ocean there are three zones of garbage in the Northern Pacific Ocean. You are looking at 400 to 600 years to decompose, I will not live long enough, but will try to do my part.

The department of justice cracked down on 474 people who attempted to defraud about 600 MILLION (not billion), and the secret service returned 2 billion that was STOLEN (not fraud). Patrisse Cullors has stepped down to pursue her own interests but the attacks on her have no basis. So she bought some houses, what’s the connection? The right has jumped on those purchases to ask loaded questions and stir up a stink. That 90 million dollars that you speak of is what BLM took in this year, and they gave the press a detailed look at their finances. None of it is MIA, and no one is reporting it as such.
