How Will You Use your Stimulus Check? Tell Us & Tell Your Reps
Tell your senators and representatives how you're using your relief payment
What’s the story?
Rent? Groceries? Child care? Netflix?
As part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, the government is providing direct cash payments to help Americans with the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic. Over 26.5 million workers have applied for unemployment benefits in the past five weeks.
Individuals with adjusted gross incomes below $75,000 are being issued $1,200. Married couples earning under $150,000 will get $2,400. Families with children age 17 and under will receive $500 for each child.
There is no government mandate on how the checks should be used. Which is why we’re asking to tell us your story—while also telling your reps. We want to know:
- Did you receive your Economic Impact Payment?
- Are you using your check to cover essentials?
- Does your check cover essentials?
- Are you considering donating your stimulus check?
- If you oppose socialism in any form, will you return your government check?
- Is $1,200 (or less) a sufficient sum? Should future bills include additional stimulus payments?
If you’re hurting financially, your reps need to know. Hit “CONTACT REPS” above to share your story with them and with us.
Hang in there,
