Federal Judge in Hawaii Temporarily Blocks Revised Travel Ban
Join us and tell your reps how you feel!
A federal district court judge in Hawaii issued a ruling Wednesday that imposed a temporary restraining order on the revised travel ban released by the Trump administration last Monday. The Trump administration had made changes to its original ban after it was held up by federal court challenges that are still unresolved.
The restraining order applies nationwide and prevents the revised ban from taking effect on March 16 as scheduled. Now the Trump administration is faced with either awaiting a full hearing before the Hawaii district court or filing an appeal with the Ninth Circuit Court — which blocked Trump’s initial travel ban and has jurisdiction over Hawaii.
