Vote to see how others feel about this issue
What’s the story?
- In the last few days, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas have seen 20 tornadoes, over 120 storm reports, grapefruit-sized hail, and millions under flash flooding threats.
What can you do to help the victims of the severe storms?
- Donations for relief efforts are always welcome at both national and local Red Crosses.
- The Red Cross also operates the Safe and Well website where you can let friends and family know you're safe.
- Salvation Army staff and volunteers are roaming affected neighborhoods and distributing snacks, drinks, and clean up kits. You can designate where you’d like your donation to go (for example, "Texas tornadoes").
- Sign up for your state’s volunteer registry.
- Local Humane Societies and animal rescues accept donations to help pets affected by storms.
