Find Out What Congress Is Voting On This Week!
Join us and tell your reps how you feel!
At the beginning of each week, we present three real bills on the schedule for a vote, so you can tell your reps whether they should say 'yea' or 'nay.' We know, Congress voting on things? Shock!
So, before your representative or senators vote on bills, in your name, we're going to quickly tell you about what's in them and give you a chance to weigh in.
VOTE 1 - Do Secret Service agents need back pay for the unpaid overtime they worked in 2016?
This bill would change the classification of overtime pay for Secret Service agents as their basic pay rather than “additional pay” to allow them to receive back pay for their uncompensated overtime during 2016.
Under current law, annual pay for Secret Service agents — including overtime — is capped at $160,300 but during presidential election years the amount that they work far exceeds that because the candidates need protection details (in addition to the president and vice president if they aren’t running).

VOTE 2 - Should the U.S. veto "counterproductive" UN Security Council resolutions related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?
This resolution would express the sense of Congress that the U.S. should use its veto on the United Nations Security Council to stop resolutions from passing that are counterproductive to the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

VOTE 3 - Would letting certified Congressional employees access VA health records help with managing cases?
This bill — known as the WINGMAN Act — would require the Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA) to give an accredited, permanent Congressional employee read-only access to a veteran’s case records in the electronic Veterans Benefits Administration claims system.

They both receive funding by Big Businesses.
