A national poll found that voters are feeling more enthusiastic about the election with Biden leaving the ballot.
Nearly 70% of respondents said they were enthusiastic about this presidential election. When it came down to Biden and Trump, enthusiasm never went above 50%. At the same time, the Cook Political Report released polling results that show Harris ahead of or tied with Trump in six of the seven battleground states—Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

The Latest: Ceasefire Talks Between Israel and Hamas Start Again
As the war in Gaza nears the one-year mark, a new round of negotiations is set to begin on Thursday between Israel and Hamas, with Egypt, Qatar, and the U.S. as mediators.
This round of talks is based on a three-phase proposal introduced by President Biden in May, calling for a ceasefire, the release of Israeli and Palestinian hostages and prisoners, and the reconstruction of Gaza. White House officials said Hamas has already accepted the plan and that Israel backs it.

DOJ Considers How To Handle Google Monopoly After Federal Ruling
The Department of Justice and state attorney generals are said to be considering how to handle Google's monopoly on online search after a federal judge found the company guilty of antitrust law violations last week.
Various proposals include breaking off parts of the company, forcing Google to make its data available to its rivals, or mandating that it abandon deals to make Google the default search option—such as with the iPhone.
