WATCH & COMMENT LIVE: Second GOP Presidential Debate
Are you tuning into the debate?
The second Republican 2024 presidential primary debate will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
The candidates participating in the debate include Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, Sen. Tim Scott (S.C.), former Vice President Mike Pence, and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. To qualify, candidates must reach a minimum poll percentage and unique donors. Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson is the only candidate from the last debate who did not qualify for tomorrow's event.
Stuart Varney and Dana Perino from Fox News will moderate the debate alongside Ilia Calderón from Univision. You can watch the event on Fox News, Univision, or Rumble.
Former President Donald Trump will not be participating in the debate, just as he did not attend the last one. Instead, he sat for an interview with Tucker Carlson, where he said:
"You see the polls have come out, I'm leading by 50 and 60 points. And some of them are at one and zero and two. And I'm saying, 'Do I sit there for an hour or two hours, whatever it's going to be and get harassed by people that shouldn't even be running for president? Should I be doing that? And a network that isn't particularly friendly, frankly."
Check back on Wednesday to watch the debate live here.
