Presidential Primary Election - March 5, 2024
- Colorado Democratic & Republican Party Precinct Caucuses: March 5-7, 2024
- Party Primary Election: June 25, 2024
Voter Registration Deadlines
- February 26, 2024 - Final day to postmark voter registration forms, or submit online voter registration for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election.
- March 5, 2024 - Final day to hand-deliver voter registration forms.
Absentee Ballots Deadlines
Ballot Request Deadline
- Every registered voter receives a mail ballot, sent to the address provided in the voter registration file. If you are not a Uniformed and Overseas Citizen and you need an absentee ballot, contact your county clerk.
Ballot Return Deadlines

March 5, 2024 - Last day to hand-deliver absentee ballots. Absentee ballots returned through email, submitted online, or faxed must be received by 7 p.m.
- Last day to postmark mail-in absentee ballots.
- March 13, 2024 - Last day absentee ballots can be received by mail.

Voter Registration Deadlines
- June 3, 2024 - Final day to register at Voter Registration Drive.
- June 17, 2024 - Final day to postmark voter registration forms and submit online voter registration.
- June 25, 2024 - Election Day Registration and Voting.

- Not Necessary: All Elections in this State are Vote-by-Mail.
Ballot Return Deadlines
- June 25, 2024 - All absentee ballots must be returned - in person, online, or by fax - by 7:00p.m. MDT.
- July 3, 2024 - All ballots must be received by this day—and postmarked on or before Election Day (June 25).
General Election - November 5, 2024

- October 28, 2024 - Last day to register to vote online and by mail.

Military and overseas citizens can vote by mail using the standard procedure. Ensure your ballot is postmarked by Election Day and that election officials receive your ballot no later than 7 days after Election Day.

IV. WHERE TO VOTE
Polling Location
- Use the Colorado Secretary of State's simple form to find out where to cast your ballot.

V. WHAT TO TAKE TO THE POLLS
Voter ID Laws
- If you choose to vote in person in Colorado, you will need to show ID.
- If your form of identification shows your address, that address must be in the state of Colorado.
Accepted Credentials
- Here is the list of accepted credentials.
- Contact your county election office for an acceptable list of options.
Don't have a valid ID?
- If you can't provide ID, you can vote a provisional ballot. Alternatively, you may request a mail ballot to take home, sign, and return to your county clerk. Your signature is used to verify your identity on a mail ballot.
