What is H.R. 3230?
(Updated September 13, 2016)
This bill was enacted on August 7, 2014
This bill does two things. Originally, the bill was crafted as means to provide pay and allowances to Armed Forces reservists. The House passed that bill in October 2013, then sent it to the Senate. On June 11th, 2014, the Senate passed the bill, too, and also added, as an amendment, the comprehensive VA reform package agreed to by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ). That bill deals with many aspects of VA reform and veterans' health, and can be found here.
