Presidential Preference Primary - March 5, 2024

Voter Registration Deadline

• February 23, 2024 - Final day for online voter registration.
  • Voters may register in person at their polling places on Election Day. 

Absentee Ballot Deadlines

Ballot Request Deadline

• No need to request - All registered voters are automatically mailed an absentee ballot. Click this link to check if you are an active registered voter.

Ballot Return Deadlines

• March 4, 2024 - Absentee ballots returned by mail must be postmarked by the day before Election Day.
• March 5, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. - Last day to hand-deliver absentee ballots at a drop box location on Election Day.

Primary Election - June 25, 2024

V. WHAT TO TAKE TO THE POLLS

Voter ID Laws

• If you are already registered to vote in Utah, you must have: ONE primary form of ID that is valid (not expired) and includes your name and your photograph.

• If you are not already registered to vote and are voting with a provisional ballot, you will need to show TWO acceptable forms of ID: one that verifies identity and one for proof of residence.
