Primary Election - March 19, 2024
Voter Registration Deadline

February 20, 2024 - Deadline to register to vote online.
- Mail-in registrations must also be postmarked by this date.
Absentee Ballot Deadlines

Ballot Request Deadline
- March 12, 2024 - Absentee ballot applications must be received by your board of elections by 8:30 p.m.
Ballot Return Deadlines
- March 18, 2024 - Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by this day.
- March 19, 2024 - Last day to hand-deliver an absentee ballot. Mail-in ballots must be received by 7:30 p.m.
General Election - November 5, 2024

- October 29, 2024 - Final day to apply for mail-in absentee ballot.
Ballot Return Deadlines
- November 4, 2024 - Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by this day.
- November 5, 2024 - Last day to hand-deliver an absentee ballot. Absentee ballots returned by mail must be received by 7:30 p.m.
Military and overseas citizens can vote by mail using the standard procedure. Ensure your ballot is signed by Election Day and received by the fourth day after.

Voter ID Laws
- Ohio requires a valid picture ID to vote, though they make some exceptions.

Don't have a valid ID?
- If you do not have any of the above IDs, your provisional ballot will count if the Board of Elections verifies your OH driver’s license or state ID number or the last four digits of your Social Security number.
