- New Mexico offers same-day voter registration in person.

- May 21, 2024 - Final day to apply for mail-in absentee ballot.
Ballot Return Deadline
- June 4, 2024 - Absentee ballots returned by mail must be received by 7 p.m.
General Election - November 5, 2024

- New Mexico offers same-day voter registration in person.
Absentee Ballot Deadlines
Registered voters in New Mexico who want to vote by absentee ballot this fall should submit an absentee ballot application online or to their local county clerk as early as possible.
Ballot Request Deadline
- October 22, 2024 - Final day to apply for mail-in absentee ballot (and received by the county clerk).
Ballot Return Deadline
- November 5, 2024 - Absentee ballots returned by mail must be received by 7 p.m.
Military and overseas citizens can vote by mail using the standard procedure. Ensure your ballot is received by election officials by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
