Primary Election - May 14, 2024
Voter Registration Deadline
- April 29, 2024 - Final day to postmark voter registration forms or hand-deliver voter registration forms.
Absentee Ballot Deadlines
Request an absentee ballot here.
Absentee Request Deadline
- May 3, 2024 - Final day to apply for mail-in absentee ballot or hand-deliver voter registration forms.
Absentee Return Deadline
- May 14, 2024 - Absentee ballots must be returned and received by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
General Election - November 5, 2024

- October 18, 2024 - Final day to postmark voter registration forms or hand-deliver voter registration forms.

- October 22, 20224 - Final day to request and return a completed absentee ballot application.
Absentee Return Deadline
- November 5, 2024 - Absentee ballots must be returned (via mail or in person) by 8 p.m. CT on Election Day.

Voter ID Laws
- Nebraska only requires identification from first-time voters, who registered by mail.
Accepted Credentials
- Here is a list of what to bring to the polls.
- Contact your local election officials for an acceptable list of options.
Don't have a valid ID?
- Once you have registered to vote, no further voter ID is required to vote in Nebraska except for some first-time voters.
