Presidential Preference Primary Election - March 23, 2024
Voter Registration Deadline
- February 21, 2024 - Final day to hand-deliver or mail voter registration forms.
- March 2, 2024 - Final day for online voter registration.
Absentee Ballots Deadlines

Ballot Request Deadline
- March 19, 2024 - Final day to request and return a completed absentee ballot application by 4:30 p.m.
Ballot Return Deadline
- March 22, 2024 - Absentee ballots (via mail or in person) must be received by your parish registrar of voters by 4:30 p.m.
General Election - November 5, 2024
Voter Registration Deadlines
- October 6, 2024 - Final day to postmark voter registration forms or hand-deliver voter registration forms.
- October 16, 2024 - Final day for online voter registration.

Ballot Request Deadline
- November 1, 2024 - Final day to request and return a completed absentee ballot application by 4:30 p.m.
Ballot Return Deadline
- November 4, 2024 - Absentee ballots (via mail or in person) must be received by your parish registrar of voters by 4:30 p.m.
Military and overseas citizens can vote by mail using the standard procedure. Ensure your ballot is received by election officials by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
