1. KNOW THE DATES
- Primary Election: Texas' Primary Election was on March 6, 2018.
- Uniform Election: Texas' Uniform Election is on May 5, 2018.
- Primary Runoff Election: Texas' Primary Runoff Election is on May 22, 2018.
- General Election: The General Election is on November 6, 2018.
2. REGISTER TO VOTE

- Voting Requirements: Here are the requirements to register as a voter in Texas.
- Uniform Election Registration Deadline: The registration cutoff for the Uniform Election is April 5, 2018.
- Primary Runoff Registration Deadline: The registration cutoff for the Primary Runoff Election is April 23, 2018.
- General Registration Deadline: The registration cutoff for the General Election is October 9, 2018.
3. FIND YOUR POLLING PLACE
- Polling Location: School, firehouse or community center, this simple form will tell you where to go to cast your ballot.

4. WHAT TO TAKE TO THE POLLS
- Voter ID Law: Texas requires a photo ID.
- Accepted Credentials: Here is the list of accepted credentials.
- Don't have valid ID?: IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE OF THE ABOVE, THEN SHOW: Voter registration certificate, OR certified birth certificate, OR current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or government document including check OR any other government document showing the voter's name and an address (e.g. an out-of-state license, a government employee ID, etc.) AND Complete and sign "Reasonable Impediment Declaration." An election officer is not permitted to question the reasonableness of your impediment to getting an ID.
