1. KNOW THE DATES
- Primary Election: North Carolina's Primary Election is on May 8, 2018.
- General Election: The general election is on November 6, 2018.
2. REGISTER TO VOTE

- Primary Registration Deadline: The registration cutoff for the primary election is April 13, 2018.

4. WHAT TO TAKE TO THE POLLS
- Voter ID Laws: North Carolina does not require a photo ID.
- Accepted Credentials: However, certain first-time voters may be required to show some form of identification, as listed here.
- Don't have valid ID?: Once you have registered to vote, no further voter ID is required to vote in NC except for some first time voters.

5. WHAT TO TAKE TO THE POLLS
- Ballot Measure #1: Voter ID Amendment — Amends the North Carolina Constitution to require voters to present a photo ID to vote in person
- Ballot Measure #2: Income Tax Cap Amendment — Amends the state’s constitution to lower the state’s maximum allowable income tax rate from 10 to 7 percent
- Ballot Measure #3: Marsy's Law Crime Victims Rights Amendment — Amends Section 27 of Article I of the North Carolina Constitution, which addresses crime victims’ rights, with a version of Marsy’s Law
