1. "2016 Person of the Year Donald Trump"
TIME Magazine named President-Elect Donald Trump as its Person of the Year for 2016. Trump joins Franklin D. Roosevelt, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama as the only presidents to be named Person of the Year in the year they were first elected.

2. "Congress poised to pass bill to fund government, boost defense spending"
"Congress is poised to pass a bill this week to fund the government through April, boost defense spending, provide aid to flood-ravaged states and to the lead-poisoned residents of Flint, Mich., and reimburse New York City for a fraction of the cost of protecting President-elect Donald Trump."
"The new legislation unveiled late Tuesday would fund the government at an annual rate of $1.07 trillion through April 28, leaving it to Trump and the new Congress to approve another spending bill in the spring to keep federal agencies running through September, the end of the 2017 fiscal year."
