The Daily Countable: Take Action Today!
WEDNESDAY, JULY 5, 2017
Good morning, CountaFolks!
All the news today is likely to be about what might happen. What might happen with the Senate health care bill? What might happen with Trump and Putin at the G20? What might happen with North Korea?
Few Members of Congress made the usual July 4th parade appearances and most GOP senators have not scheduled town halls during the recess. But no matter where they go, all anyone wants to talk about with them is health care. Have you reached out to your representative this week yet? What do you want to say?
The President: EN ROUTE TO WARSAW, POLAND
President Trump will head to Poland on Wednesday ahead of the G-20 summit, beginning Friday in Hamburg, Germany.
Other traditional E.U. allies are keeping an eye on the Poland trip and how it will affect Eastern European alliances.

What to Watch
- If you haven’t seen the latest commercial from Ancestry.com, it’s worth a watch. All the people featured are direct descendants of our Founding Fathers.
- Also, worth a read is this bit of history by Petula Dvorak at the Washington Post about our Founding Mother, Mary Katherine Goddard.
Be well, CountaFriends! I hope the sun is shining upon you.
"Nations do not now stand in the same relation to each other that they did ages ago. No nation can now shut itself up from the surrounding world, and trot round in the same old path of its fathers without interference. The time was when such could be done... No abuse, no outrage whether in taste, sport or avarice, can now hide itself from the all-pervading light."- Frederick Douglass
