Committee Watch: Social Security’s Solvency, Millennials in the Gig Economy & Leaving the Iran Deal

Tuesday
- The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee will hold a hearing to examine the 2018 wildland fire outlook at wildland fire management programs. 10am
Wednesday
- The House Education and Workforce Committee will hold a hearing titled “Examining the Policies and Priorities of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services” featuring testimony from HHS Secretary Alex Azar. 10am
- The House Small Business Committee will hold a hearing titled “Millennials and the Gig Economy” featuring testimony from the small business community and a millennial interest group. 11am
- The House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Health will hold a hearing titled “Lowering Costs and Expanding Access to Health Care through Consumer-Directed Health Plans”. 11am
- The House Oversight Subcommittee on National Security will hold a hearing titled “Protecting America From a Bad Deal: Ending U.S. Participation in the Nuclear Agreement with Iran”. 2pm
Thursday
- The House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Social Security will hold a hearing titled “Social Security’s Solvency Challenge: The Status of Social Security’s Trust Funds”. 11am
- The House Science, Space, & Technology Subcommittee on Energy will hold a hearing titled “The Electric Grid of the Future”. 1pm
- The House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Global Human Rights will hold a hearing titled “A Bad Year for Human Rights in Vietnam”. 2pm
- The House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere will hold a hearing titled “Advancing U.S. Business Investment and Trade in the Americas”. 2pm
