What’s the story?
The week before the special election for an Alabama Senate seat, President Trump has tweeted out his endorsement of the controversial Republican candidate. GOP candidate Roy Moore, who is accused of molesting multiple teenage girls, is running neck-in-neck with Democratic opponent Doug Jones.
Early Monday morning, President Trump tweeted out this:
Democrats refusal to give even one vote for massive Tax Cuts is why we need Republican Roy Moore to win in Alabama. We need his vote on stopping crime, illegal immigration, Border Wall, Military, Pro Life, V.A., Judges 2nd Amendment and more. No to Jones, a Pelosi/Schumer Puppet!

Moore responded on Twitter:
"Go get 'em, Roy!" - President Trump
— Judge Roy Moore (@MooreSenate) December 4, 2017
Just got off the phone with President Trump who offered his full support and said he needs a fighter to help him in the US Senate.
I look forward to fighting alongside the President to #MAGA!
Meanwhile, NPR reports that some business leaders in Alabama are concerned about the repercussions to the business climate if Moore wins on Tuesday. Massive corporate boycotts came in response to a GOP-authored transgender bathroom bill in North Carolina, which led to the defeat of the measure. The same could happen in Alabama in response to a Moore win.
What do you think?
Do you think the president’s 11th hour endorsement of Moore will push him over the top? Do you think if Moore wins there will be repercussions for Alabama like there were in North Carolina?
