Key dates:
Between 2012 and 2014, VEB was used as a cover for Russian spy Evgeny Buryakov to recruit New York City residents as intelligence sources for Moscow
In 2014, Gorkov’s bank is sanctioned by the Obama administration in response to Russia’s annexation of Crimea
December 2016: Gorkov – at the request of Kislyak – meets with Kushner. White House Communication’s Director Hope Hicks has said the meeting lasted about 30 minutes and ended with Gorkov requesting a continued open dialogue
