I recently had the misfortune to go to the home of a wealthy East European oligarch who's library walls were covered in the African hunting trophies, including a male lion in his prime. I asked why and his response was... well it's only one and there are hundreds out there. During the ensuing conversation he got the message but it is unlikely that I will be invited again. When we are fighting such selfish and self righteous ignorance it is going to be a very up hill battle.

Just goes to show just how angry people can become over this issue when even perfectly sane and normal people advocate jungle justice. Join the cause and lets fight it as one

Anthony Nichol - quirky solution. ;-)

Big cats are near extinction and there is no need to hunt them other than greed. If they are attacking livestock, then trap and relocate them. Those that shoot a big cat should get the death penalty.

Better that they have to spend a couple of years working on a game reserve so that they become converts... Their crime is ignorance, what better punishment than enlightenment.

PLEASE HELP STOP THIS CRUEL INHUMAN SPORT. YES THEY CALL KILLING A LION OR ANY OTHER CAT SPORT. Less than 2000 lions left in the wild in SA. Gerald

The big cats are beautiful, magnificent creatures. Truly awe inspiring animals to get close to. There is a balance to everything. One species goes - and the the fall out is immense.

Too much unnessessery death already.

Just like'catch & release' fishing, use a camera. You're the better person to not use a deadly weapon.

There is no good reason to kill wild animals
