If all humans had as much love and compassion in their hearts as dogs the world would no longer know war.
Why is this cause important to me? Silly question I think. For the same reason why if you posted a cause regarding emotionally & physically abusing and murdering an innocent child would be important to me. It's wrong. It's sick. It's horrific. And, these innocent beings need our protection, they need our voice to be heard, they need us to never stop fighting for them until everyone of them are saved and safe.
