That sentence makes no sense. The petitions aren't to put her in jail. She's already going to jail. The petitions are for more jail time and stiffer punishments.
Justice to me is that anyone committing a crime to an animal or human, should get what they did, done to them. If that was the law, how many people would abuse/cause to maim/cause death to animals or humans? The number wouldn't be what they are. They would be a lot lower. Or hand these abusers over to people who love animals...But that will never happen...

I care about what happens to dogs (all animals, really).
I simpy, can't stand to see, any animal hurt, by a humans, hand, rope, or anything else. Even with big dogs, humans, have the upper, hand, & animals, are my passion, in life. If, I could, I would open, a foundation, to care, for the unwanted. The problem, is, that I'm to old now, & flat, don't have the money, anymore. Animals have no way of defending themselves against cruelty. It is our job as a humane society to do that!
The creation of an animal abuser registry is the only way to prevent future animal tortures but imposing appropriate penalties.
