I did a term paper on Genetically Modified Foods and the stuff I learned in my reseach was so frightening. The power that Monsanto holds over the well being of our lives is incredible. It has seeped into and is controling so many variables in our world/nation that most people picking an item off the grocery store shelf have no idea the choices have already been made for them. And we call ourselves a democracy!
Yes! Governments run our countries and corporations run our governments. The time for voting at polling stations is long gone. It is time to vote with our purchasing habits. Take the time to understand which companies Monsanto own and boycott them from your shopping baskets.
Things are topsy turvy but they will only be put right but enough of us waking up and acting. And time is running out.

Get rid of congress as it is and start over with the kind of people who can and will help. Just say enough is enough and push restart. We in Canada will have to do the same other wise get used to it I guess. We need a BIG Global push on this and say NO.
Because I am a Health Coach and teach people -for 25 years- to change their diets and lifestyle to live better and longer lives. And I like butterflies...Monsanto engineered a corn that kills the caterpillar that feeds on it...so it there aren't butterflies, who will pollenate so many plants that make up our interconnected and critical ecology of our fragile planet?

we are killing our home, mother earth who feeds us, organic growing has been scientifically proved to produce food that is higher in nutrient content than conventionally grown food. GMO food... what will that do? What effects will we find about forty years from now? Nothing good I'm sure!
You have to pay a royalty to the company that engineered the seed, buy chemicals like fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides but it cuts manual labor a lot. Organic growing requires adding compost, manure and using other methods of controlling pests like flipping over a board in the morning and killing slugs instead of using a chemical to kill them. Slugs and snails can't cross copper so lining beds with copper strips deters them but big business farms are so huge, these methods aren't cost effective. Sucks for us consumers we get food with less nutritional value. The death of small family farms in the US makes me sad. I wish every community could have a farm that all could work on and have everyone fed from. We could have our own organic food for a little work.
