I thank you for your reply and I am grateful that you accepted what I said the way that I intended it to be understood as so many people are just looking for an argument that they read what doesn't exist. I do not blame my mother or my father for what has happened but I am sad that I could not even walk the 300 metres to the cemetery to pay my respect to my mother. My mother died 30 years ago and my father died 45 years ago and just writing this my eyes are getting blurry with tears. It is not always for luxuries as at the time that I speak of they did not exist but times have changed and so many new ideas are on the market and at prices that are unbelievable. I remember having to wait for years to be allocated a telephone number and yet today you can buy a telephone for a few dollars and are encouraged to do so and to buy all of the laptops and tablets and the new mobile telephone that even send your picture along the line and you are sending me a letter direct from wherever you are. I remember corresponding with several people all over the world in 1966 and the weeks it would take for a letter to arrive and then to receive a reply and waiting for the postman to see if he has a reply and now it is done in minutes. So much has changed but I have not been able to change with the times.
