Support Same Sex Marriage In the United States!

Because I am a happily married gay man. I married my partner on July 4, 2011. The absolute best day of my life. We married in Provincetown MA, though we are residents of New York, we had planned this marriage before New York State passed its' approval. Now, New York State accepts our marriage, however, my partner is a Federal employee and we are not accepted by his work and the Federal Government. I am not allowed to be on his family plan for insurance, nor have do we have any of the other 1138 rights that straight married couple have. I have paid my share of taxes my entire life and I feel I am entitled to any right that is granted to any other US citizen. I pray that the US Supreme Court is influenced by Obama's position on Gay Marriage and votes down DOMA and does take it to the next level and deems same-sex marriage legal across the country, this will automatically overturn Prop 8, thus rendering it to be unconstitutional. I realize there are many fanatical religious groups that feel the need to force their religious platform down every throat in the United States, however, America was built on religious freedom, the right to choose religion, any religion or not. That is why it is SO important to separate religion from state. This decison must only be based on legal principles, rights that are given to citizens upon their birth or when sworn into the US. As far as the sanctity of marriage, well that was blown apart many years ago by the straight communtiy. Divorce is at an all-time high, over 50%. Marriage does not have the same idealology as it did 30 years ago. Britney Spears married for like 58 seconds, and the Catholic church will actually annul a marriage (FOR A FEE), to say it never existed. What's up with that? Where is the sanctity?

Tell Barack Obama The White House House Republicans House Democrats Republican Senators U.S. Senate Democrats that the birth right of every human being is the fundamental right to marry. Gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and transsexual Americans are born with the birth right to human rights. Our rights do NOT end when umbilical cords are cut. We are American enough for unconditional equal constitutional protection under the law.

Heterosupremacist marriage apartheid forces us to pay for the heterosexist married lifestyle while denying us 1138 federal and state rights of marriage.

Tyrannical theocRAT terrorists confuse RELIGIOUS WEDDING RITES with LEGAL MARRIAGE RIGHTS - our right to marry is a fundamental constitutional right.

It is time that heterosupremacist stop thinking that they have a right to decide that only THEY are human enough for human rights.

We vote, we pay taxes and we DEMAND our UNALIENABLE FUNDAMENTAL CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO EVERY RIGHT IN AMERICA INCLUDING THE 1138 FEDERAL AND STATE RIGHTS OF MARRIAGE. WE DEMAND THIS BY THE END OF 2013.

GROW UP AMERICA.

This cause is important to me because I am a gay man living in a state that doesn't recognize gay marriage. I believe that everyone has the right to be happy with the one they choose to marry and be with for the rest of their lives. When it comes to the Religious/Spiritual people: I am also a christian and I believe that God made no mistake making us who we are. He knew who we are and every choice we would make before He made us. I know God loves me and He always will no matter what choices I make. I would rather marry someone I love and will be happy with for the rest of my life than be single and miserable or not genuinely love the person I'm with. No matter what laws are made, gay people will not seize to exist or stand up for our rights. We deserve to be happy. PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS! That is CONSTITUTIONAL! Stop judging us for our "sins" until you are done sinning yourself! STOP BEING HYPOCRITES! I want to marry the love of my life but that is only possible if this country learns to accept our differences and allow everyone the equal opportunities that we deserve!
