In March, as Zimbabwe’s schools reopened their doors, we sent out an urgent call for donations of back-to-school kits. You responded with generosity and enthusiasm—and on May 12th, Camfed Zimbabwe’s Executive Director Angeline Murimirwa travelled to the Wedza district to distribute notebooks, pencils, pens, rulers, chalk, and other critical school supplies that were purchased with your donations. Thanks to the $750 you - our Facebook supporters - collectively donated in February, the five young women in Tanzania pictured below now have the opportunity to gain the knowledge, networking support and financing to become entrepreneurs. Although they had never heard of Facebook before, they wanted to let you know that the business training and start-up grant that each one of them received will dramatically improve their lives.
