I feel it is our right to be in the mountains. I was raised n the mountains and love being out there. I am astounded at the complacency of the general public to allow multiple rights to be taken away because it doesn't impact them.
Unless there is a dangerous condition all roads should be open! I hate all the locked gates and otherwise blocked roads. Also the fact that some people use the woods for a dump or garbage can...I always think...how can there be so many slobs out there?!!! Oh, sorry please excuse my ranting.
Born and raised in these mountains they comprise a great deal more to me than just "recreation" they are how I sustain my life and my open access to them defines my culture and heritage.
