| Description: |
Millions of children around the world are abused, exploited and discriminated against on a daily basis. In 2005 child helplines across the world received around 10.5 million contacts from children and young people who needed crisis intervention, rehabilitation, counselling or someone to talk to. By supporting CHI you are helping to ensure that every boy and girl in the world can contact a child helpline when they need help. Together we can make a difference.
Child Helpline International (CHI) is the global member network of child helplines, working to protect the rights of the child. We work in over 150 countries and were founded on the belief that children and young people not only have rights, but that they alone are the best individuals to identify their problems if they are equipped with the proper tools. A strong global network of child helplines is crucial for child protection. With your help, CHI can continue to advocate and support a more effective response to children in need of care and protection. Not only will their voices be heard, but you are helping improve the quality of children’s lives all over the world. To support us, see here: https://www.allegoededoelen.nl/e... |

A girl disclosed that her mother had left her in a park as she could no longer financially support her. A custodian adopted her. In return she was required to beg, sell shoes and do all the household chores. If she earned too little she could be physically and verbally abused. The evidence was clear - she had pinch marks and cigarette burns...
