As the economy worsens everyday, it would be so nice to be able to know that Walmart (the family operated store) would have Layaway all year round. Alot of people do not have credit cards due to poor credit or they choose not to have. People do not have the money to buy gift cards every time they want something. Walmart, you've taken out the little guys and are still not happy with that. Help your customers with an all year layaway program instead of just Christmas. Christmas is not about presents, it's about family get togethers and the love of family. When are you people who run Walmart going to understand that? To bad you've forgotten about Thanksgiving after Halloween. Christmas things are out before the day to give Thanks for all that we have is even upon us. Walmart, you have become a VERY GREEDY store!
I am a grandmother of 11 grand kids all under the age of ten years old, and being able to get them birthday gifts or christmas gifts and such is almost impossible. Lay a way would be such a relief on me.
yes I have to say if layaways was back in walmart it would be a lot better on people to get for there familys there are kid's out here that don't get anything cause there mom and dad has too many bills to pay so if the there was a layaway plan it would help everyone bring it back walmart.
I think in the times we're in right now and knowing what its like to struggle as a single mom, returning layaway might make the impossible perhaps attainable. People are struggling every minute of everyday just to make ends meet everyone deserves a little help no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, for many its "Huge". I am extremely grateful and blessed that I am no longer struggling to care for my family, but really feel for those that do......been there. BRING IT WalMart!
It was one way for me to get new clothes for my family and now I have grand kids and very helpfull with birthdays and holidays and there's times I don't have the money for all the time hlps the budget.

The way the economy is its hard for anyone to afford to buy Christmas or anything else without layaway.
helps when you only get a small amount each month to work with and you have a child to get for.
Always found it convenient to do my shopping there till they took away lay a way!

It is very important and necessary due to lack of money in our pockets. Doing low payments is more factible.
