Honor the Victims of Sandy Hook: From Moment of Silence to Moment of Action
On Friday, December 14th and 9:30am ET, twenty school children, their four teachers, and two school administrators were murdered by a lone gunman. The moment we learned about the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut will be etched in our memories forever. The horror of this incident was the last straw in
Why is this campaign important to you?
British, USA, Irish, German, Ect" If you were in the Military and you give your service to your country. Then your country should at least give a little respect at the end of your life. Ed I.D.F.V.U.K.
I agree yes we should get that respect We served just because we are now ex-Servicemen or women that we can not get this, I will support this, all I can hope for is the Irish flag I have for my funeral when it happens, my pension will be stopped and no help for my burial from Dept of Defence not even a flag, this is wrong but at least I have my Irish flag that I have out of my pocket, my family will give me respect when I die, but it would be nice if the Army buried and gave you a Standard military funeral ie pall bearers dressed in no 1. carried to the grave and honours rendered to show respect to us the deceased and show that the Army valued our service no matter how long or short we were 24/7/365 men and women, I was in 15 year that is not a short time I served2/3 of my army service and I have a pension to prove this respect for us and value for our service, we served and no one can deny this, I have my Discharge certificate of service as further proof, so respect and honour our service to our country, we served that should be enough, I hope more support this. Former Member of Irish Defence forces.
Thanks Ed I.D.F.V.U.K. and may you have a merry Christmas all of you may you all have a happy new year from me to you all.
I am a British Forces Veteran, and a Veteran is someone, who at one point in their life, wrote a blank cheque payable to the United Kingdom for an amount up to, and including, their life.
Regardless of personal political views, it was an honour to serve my country, and there are way too many people in Britain who no longer remember that fact.
I think more Veterans should be like you, be proud to serve their country and wear their uniform. My step dad is a Veteran and all he has, is anger and hate for the army, although he says, he wants to do another tour, I dnt get it.
They chose to fight for their country, they put their life at risk and died for their country. How many of us are willing to do that? Heroes should be given state funerals and buried with honor.
Spot on as always baby, I'm on it xxx xxx
Spent 3yrs in mid 60s and know what they are going thru, my heart goes out to all of them
there putting kids over there, com on take them home lol.
CANT THE GOVERMENT SE THAT THEY ARE TALKING THE PISS,SHOOTING OUR OWN BOYS GET A GRIP ,
I also think that the government should pay for this service. After all the service people gave their lives protecting the rights of the government.
they have given thier lives what more do they want
these people are hero.s they die for us,,they deserve respect so why the hell should there family have to pay for them too be laid to rest
I think it should go without saying that Veterans, who die in the service of our country, should be provided with free funeral services. The fact is, I did not know that they did not already. How ironic...you pay for our freedom with your life and then your family gets billed for your courage.
All fallen service personell, should have a free funeral.
