Great news! California State Senate passed AB2743 by a margin of 21-12. This law prohibits Landlords from requiring tenants' pets to be declawed or debarked.

I used to work in a vet hospital and I assisted in surgety where I witnessed this surgety and it is horrible. the cats are in so much pain. they remove the claw to the joint. It like you ahving surgety and removing all your fingers to the first joint. Its in humane and un nessecary.
PLEASE JOIN US in our cause! For those who don't know, "declawing" is the same as if someone whacked off all your toes at the first joint and then forced you to walk on those mutilated feet for the rest of your life. It's a CRIME. Help us STOP IT.:

If vets recommend vaccinations to prevent illness (in case your cat gets out & comes in contact with an infected cat), & recommend microchipping (in case your cat gets out & becomes lost), wouldn't it also be logical to council AGAINST declawing your cat (because it might get outside where it would be at a disadvantage without its normal set of claws)?

animals has same rights to have their natural behaviour and same standards as anyone. we need to learn to respect all animal and their values and needs. How come many dont understand how much an animal understands and knows and feels. Only they dont
have same language as we. If they had,,,world would be different. ,,,,we need to stand up for the animals and their rights
Declawing causes behavior issues like not using the litter box, aggression in some cats, high shelter rate turn in ect. Plus its amputation. Maybe if they called it claw amputation, people would think twice. We need a law preventing landlords from requiring declawing nationwide. Declawing is for peoples convenience and is pure laziness, cats can be taught.
Educate people about looking after their animals and also the Goverments, who get away with providing no real lobby for any animals.
