We adopted a two year old pitbull and she is the sweetest person in our family. She loves snuggles and children! This breed has been given a bad reputation.
Our family had a wonderful and loving pitbull named Simba. Heloves my daughter and she jumps all over him and he is like her best friend. Beautiful animals and they only act like they are treated.
My daughter and niece both have a pitbull in their families. They are loving animals. They adore their humans as much as every loyal doggy out there. They get a bad name because of the media and because of human beings, whom choose to have these loving animals trained to be fighters. This is so people, such as Michael Vick, as well as other, s can have their dog rings and advertise gambling. The owners of these events make money. It is not the breed. They are loving animals. We need to give them a chance. Mr Vick has repented and he, himself, is trying to teach us that breed restrictions are wrong. Animal abuse in every way is just wrong. We cannot and should not allow people to have wild animals as pets. These animals are to live in the wild. However, dogs are a domestic animal. A pitbull is a loving, loyal breed, when given the chance.
Remy and Baron are the biggest sweethearts you'll ever meet. It truly saddens the rep they've gotten. I'm glad Eric saved Remy and gave her to me for my 28th BDay I dont think any present can top that. She lives for my affection and in turn I live for hers
Exactly--some people are cruel enough to train/raise this breed to be too aggressive and violent---it's not the breed, but the stupidity of the owners! Personally, the problem is too much 'inbreeding' of humans, not their dogs :(
Note--this happens with many breeds, not just pits. Those of you who are 'afraid' of pitbulls because of the breed? It's just as ridiculous as being afraid of a foreigner because you don't speak the language.
I am a foster family, over the past 8 years I have fostered more than 20 pregnant and/or nursing pit bull moms. Despite having puppies they were the sweetest non-confrontational Moms. Not once did I have an issue with them. I have had aggressive Labradors and Shepherds and various other mixed breeds but not the pits, go figure.
Humans need to be better educated about dogs before they buy one from any breeder... some breeds are high energy dogs and need a good daily walk, or run. It does NOT mean they are vicious! It just means people should know what energy level a breed of dog is before they buy one thinking it will just lay around the house waiting to get petted.
I do not own a pitbull but I am not an idiot and so I know a dog is what you make it.. just like people, this law is just plain stupid.. no wait..its an evil law put in place by stupid people.
Why is this campaign important to you?

Pitbulls also lead in unprovoked attacks.
How can someone say want doesnt provoke them they are all different. They just dont go around n bite people.
Pit bulls are sweet and wonderful loyal members of your family if ,like any dog, they are treated properly

I have never owned pitbulls but I have fostered them. Great dogs!
