The Cause

I have read recently that some feel that having a holiday for Remembrance Day is not such a great idea. I can't help but think that these people have an agenda of their own. Why in gods name would anyone appose this cause? To me it makes perfect sense. One

There were 6 of us from one family in the Army during WW2.
I wholeheartedly support making Nov 11 a NATIONAL HOLIDAY.It is a time to remember.

I'm all for remembering our soldiers, fallen or not, who have served our country at home and far away. I wonder if an actual day off is the answer? Will people actually take the time on Nov. 11th to remember or will they use it as just another day off?
Something to ponder.

Austin and I will be walking downtown to the cenotaph tomorrow morning. The most touching part of it all is watching the older former service people walk by, some slowly, others with canes and also in wheelchairs. Very humbling and absolutely makes me grateful for what they have endured on our behalf. For those who came before, are in now and for the future men and women I am thankful for their diligence in protecting our country.

lost my grandfather in the first world, and my uncle in the second world, nothing is too good for our brave service men and women , who risk their lives everyday in action so we can live safe and free, anything we can do for them, is not much to ask,,.dk, rogers wales uk..

a solid gold thumbs up from me...

yes are kids an grandkids should know how many lives have been hurt an should all show a little passion an respect for all the people who fight for our countryxx

Excellent idea.

some gave some some gave all lets remember them with pride.

when our QUEEN and COUNTRY asked its citizens a call to arms to fight in the great wars , all of its brave men and women took up the challange with out question, it should give totle respect for our forces and grant this cause a public holiday.

Ex-soldier, people in general need to understand the importance of the HM Forces, both in peace and war. A days remembrance is not a lot to ask on the 11/11.

It goes without saying that we all should show our respect for all our men & women in the armed forces many have died fighting in the name of freedom so it is little to ask in return please support this cause.

We need to support and respect those who have gone before and those that are in and those that will go ahead to fight for our freedom. I will support this day and remember them.
