IT´S TIME TO SEE THE TRUTH !!!
DEATH PENALTY 1) Cruel and unusual punishment (prohibited by the 8th amendment to the constitution 2) not a deterrent 3) is racist 4) classist 5) no rich person ever executed and 5) innocent people are executed (2/3 those on death row according to James Liebman of Columbia U law school). It is a method to keep working people afraid to challenge the status quo.
If you defend human rights, you have to fight death penalty. That Obama is "showing sensibility to human rights", is a bit thin. If he were that sensible, he would have closed Guantanamo long ago, he would not bring wars to countries and people who never ever wanted the benefits of the American understanding of democracy. Death penalty is nothing but publicly sanctioned murder.

You know what America? You may have a nice President. But I would never support anyone who is supporting the death penalty, because in doing so I would be an accomplice. I won´t support a president who is supporting a crime and who is violating human rights and the Constitution of his country!

The result of killing is only more death. Please work to stop this avoidable form of killing another. There are alternatives to capital punishment.
