We acquired our first Basset hound, Winston, from the local animal shelter. It was love at first sight!!!!!!!!!! We lost Winston two years ago this month. A couple of months later, we heard from a friend about a litter of Bassets that their friend had. We debated about it being too soon to get another dog, but we took the opportunity and ended up with two - T-Bone (at two months in the pic at left) and his sister, Molly. They will be two years old next month, and they're the joys of our life. I cannot imagine anyone being cruel or abusive to a Basset!!!!!!!! They are so loving and friendly!
