These soldiers & family's deal with enough problems being separated. Money is tight & postage is a huge amount for them. They should receive free postage. But knowing the higher powers this will not fly. Especially the postal system being in hard times. So they say.
Free postage is the least we can do....
It can't be nice for them, thousands of miles from their families, the least they can give them is free postage so that they can stay in regular contact with loved ones. :-)
correct,,, the very least they could do,the government is sending the wrong message to future recruits by not helping the men an women who are all ready deployed,they seem to deploy them, then leave them to fend for themselves,,these fine men and women are laying their lives on the line for all of us,government included,these men an women ask for nothing in return,allowing them "Free Postage" while they are away from loved ones would help their state of mind a great deal,i believe,,the government finds plenty of extra money to help other countries,why not help their own first,"charity begins at home" God Bless Our Military!!!,,,june

my xboyfriend told me he could never get mail from anyone or packages cause the army forbid it and talk on the phone cause of the talibains...can some one from the army tell me the truth and he wanted to take a month to visit and said he had to pay the army seven hundred and fifty dollars to ge approved for a leave and said the army gives u a favor but u have to do a favor back to them I think this petition is great for our true soldiers fighting for our country how do I find out from...

that really is so unfair,great way to treat these fine men,they deserve so much respect and getting crap like that is unacceptable,i had family in Afghanistan and i was able to send parcels to him,there was no problem,i sometimes mailed them myself but i had an extra large box for christmas for him and the other men in his unit,so i took it to the Army Barracks and they looked after it for me,,start by checking your army barracks where you are or the recruiting station,, the post office may even be able to help you,, good luck and God Bless,,
My son is currently deployed on the U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower and is in his 10th year of military service, I want to honor him a week as all of the other men and women serving and protecting our great nation.

They are over there risking their lives for this country, the least we can do is give them fre postage so they can write home to their loved ones when they want to. They shouldn't have to worry about the fact that they can't send off a letter because they don't have a stupid stamp or the money to buy one! As long as they can get it to a drop off point it should be stamped and mailed out for them!
