Kyle Rittenhouse Found Not Guilty on All Charges in Kenosha Shootings
How do you feel about the verdict?
What's the story?
- Kyle Rittenhouse has been acquitted of first-degree intentional homicide and four other felony charges.
The shootings
- Rittenhouse was on trial for shooting and killing two men, and injuring a third, during protests last summer in Kenosha, Wisconsin, against the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old Black man.
- He pleaded not guilty to all charges, arguing that he acted in self-defense.
- The jury - five men and seven women - deliberated more than 25 hours over the past four days.
The verdict
- The 12-person panel cleared Rittenhouse of attempted intentional homicide in the shooting of Gaige Grosskreutz, who was at the protests working as a medic.
- Rittenhouse was also acquitted on two counts of recklessly endangering safety and use of a dangerous weapon.
- The Wisconsin National Guard was deployed on Tuesday to prepare for the possibility of unrest following the jury's decision.

The higher courts and lower chords she’ll see what this judge has done not condemning this young man for sections coming to another state being allowed to carry such weapons this should be non-trusted nonnegotiable and this should be not tolerated of any sort in any state when there is an event of an upscale of protest know one person Suga from state to state to try to help as they were to say and cause such heinous destruction and harm as we seem, this is my thought. The nations Laws can’t be for lawlessness as all whom feel others don’t do equally to the laws all Fedral laws States Laws shall be universal in unity never to be corruptible it shall of true balance equal must be enforced at all levels the same never ever wavering!!! !!! Our Highest to lowest Courts shall be in step sakes as All DA’s must enforce as all same constitutionally sought not being of favor of Lenientcy of any type or wavering towards weakness ever again the full extent of organized crimes health be dispended condemned and further action nationally and internationally strengthen the laws that should be!!!
Looks exactly like we have legalized murder. Little brat with a gun should have been put in prison. End of story. Cry baby should not have entered that scene armed.
Every step on his part was a bad decision. In fact, he put himself in a “bad decision movie” the type where the whole audience shouts, “no, don’t go there/do that!”. I expect he, and possibly his parents, will rightfully be sued for wrongful death.
What a travesty of Justice.
The video, witness testimony, and facts presented were taken into account by the jury who determined the verdict. Sadly, most of the media, many government officials, and hence many citizens chose to prosecute Mr. Rittenhouse by hearsay before the trial even began. If more individuals were encouraged to defend themselves and their property from attacks, robbery, looting, and criminal actions that endanger lives - and criminals were prosecuted for all crimes - then those who thought about criminal acts would know there are negative consequences.
I believed he was guilty from the start, but mainly because he was not summoned there to "protect" property. Also, he came from a different state, was only l7 and was carrying a dangerous rife he should not have had. I don't understand why so many people were happy he was found innocent. What a sad situation! Now I guess anyone can carry a rifle down the street cause they might have to defend themself. I guess it worked for him, too bad.
He may be technically not guilty under the law. But he put himself into that situation and a civilian walking around with an automatic weapon is going to draw attention and concern, no matter what the situation is. He’s not a police officer or a soldier. And he’s not a paramedic, in spite of his claim that he was there to provide medical support. He doesn’t even live in the state! He was there as a vigilante and bad things happen when u allow vigilantes and people with no real authority or official status to involve themselves in crisis situations. He needs to be punished and it should be in a way that sends a powerful message to any other fools like him. A lawsuit that bankrupts him and his family would be appropriate since criminal charges are no longer possible.
God Bless Kyle Rittenhouse, finally a White American hero emerges. BLM/ANTIFA need to be dealt with harshly. Because of the democRATs those two criminal entities are moving around the country rioting, looting, burning, destroying previous monuments and statues, but alas when it comes to african criminals, the government is out of bullets. Kent College, Ruby Ridge, Waco, involved White people so plenty of bullets in those incidents.
It was self-defense he didn't go looking for trouble he would dead if not for his AR 15
Ashamed to say I am from WI. This verdict is an outrage. Also, the judge should retire!
Leslie G: Thanks for the summary of the applicable laws. It’s amazing how badly the rule of law gets bent under the pressure of big money. Something else our country needs to fix.
Absolutely no justice. How could he not have been held accountable for his actions??!!!

Not sure what type of laws were established in Wisconsin to justify this outcome. Thank You Leslie for trying to clarify for the folks. I just received a letter for jury duty. God Help me..
Another great find! That FaceBook poster should have directly contacted the DA with his advice. Kyle would be in prison for a good while. Unless the DA also wanted Kyle to go free. @Leslie wrote: "UPDATE: Legal Analysis of how self defense works from a military legal worker: I'm seeing a lot of ignorance and misinformation flying ar..." I do not blame the prosecution, the defense, or the jury. From what I could tell, the Judge poisoned the case from day one. It will be instructive to see if a Federal case can be made, and how the lawsuits turn out.

Thanks Georgia and Charlotte for providing ‘Sunlight’ on justice in the South! Bankruptcy and jail for all those racist murderers!
Today the news that the three white murderers in Georgia were all found guilty was a Huge relief. After the Rittenhouse verdict I was afraid that they too would go free. My faith in humanity and the justice system were renewed…for the moment anyway. Also that the jury awarded damages to the families/survivors of Charlottesville. Still much wrong with the system but these two cases have made me cheer out loud. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
