Similar legislation was passed against Big Tobacco 20 years ago, but the plaintiffs proved that properly operating products, ie cigarettes, killed custom…”

“There’s nothing inherently wrong with a responsible and manageable (that is, serviceable) level of debt. In appropriate measures, it can stimulate investment and growth. A balanced budget would restrict growth. I could support some legislation that restricts the budget though to a function of GDP.”
