Forgotten Tails is a small group of dedicated animal lovers that are working towards a goal of no more homeless pets. We foster out of our homes and also have other volunteers that are dedicated to helping this group grow. We would not be able to function without the many hours that our foster homes and volunteers put in. We are always looking for more people willing to open their homes temporarily to a foster pet or even just help with events to help place these animals.
All of our adoptable animals are spayed or neutered prior to being adopted. They are kept up to date on all shots and are tested for heart worms and are kept on heart worm preventative. If they are heart worm positive that will be treated. Every animal that we adopt out, are adopted as indoor pets and will not go to homes to be outdoor only. Adopters are expected to keep their newly adopted friend updated on all shots and heart worm prevention and taken to the vet when needed.
Forgotten Tails Rescue Mission: FTAR is dedicated to saving the lives of animals from kill shelters and giving them the fresh start they deserve. We rescue, rehabilitate, and re home animals that would otherwise be put to sleep. We educate the public about how to properly take care of their pets, primarily by spaying and neutering. We are solely a volunteer ran organization.
