About

To rescue abandoned or displaced dogs and cats from the threat of euthanasia by area shelters or other at-risk situations.

Welcome to the official facebook cause for Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation! Since 2001, we have found homes for more than 10,000 dogs and cats!

The Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation (LDCRF) is a non-profit organization that is actively involved in taking in and finding new, loving homes for at risk cats and dogs. In this process, LDCRF ensures that these companion animals are temperament tested, current on all necessary vaccinations, and either spayed or neutered. LDCRF conducts public adoption events at local pet shops and various community events on weekends. These events are staffed by volunteers who interview prospective adopters, answer questions about the animals, and take advantage of the opportunity to educate the public on the benefits of spaying and neutering; the need to obtain proper veterinary care; and of providing basic obedience training to their pets.

The Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation's programs include an Assisted Placement Program; a Community Education Program and a Foster Home Program. Our programs are designed to offer maximum benefit to the animals in our care and to assist the general public with their pet-related problems.

1. To save and protect needy animals

2. Work to help rescue animals facing death in gassing shelters

3. Help stop pet overpopulation by only adopting out already spayed/neutered dogs and cats
