Provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.
The ASPCA cares for animals across the nation. We rescue, rehabilitate, and find homes for thousands of companion animals each year. We also provide low-cost spay/neuter via our fleet of mobile clinics, and run a full-service animal hospital. Our Humane Law Enforcement agents uphold and enforce animal cruelty laws, in addition to providing training to other agencies around the country.
On a national level, the ASPCA supports the human/animal bond while fighting cruelty in a variety of ways:
—From hurricanes and wildfires to puppy mill raids, our first responders work tirelessly to rescue animals and provide them with essential care.
—Our Government Relations Team writes and lobbies for the passage of animal-friendly legislation in every state.
—We offer assistance to pet parents and veterinarians nationwide via the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center.
—We support shelters and vets on shelter medicine, veterinary forensics, animal abuse and reporting, and spay/neuter programs.
