Borinqueneers Congressional Gold Medal Petition
Because at the time, Puerto Ricans were not regarded as equals, it took a Puerto Rican a Congressional Medal of Honor act in order to receive maybe a "Bronze Star" racism was as its best during those years. The unit was sacrificed few times in order to save others, rather than sacrifice others to save this unit, just like saying "send in the Cannon Meat" first as they are not that important. The US military has never taken the Puerto Rican fighting spirit seriously. Even in 1967 it happened to us in Vietnam, we acted at the DSC or MH of honor level but it was the deceased person that we saved that got the award/decoration. You can't deny that, and if you do deny it, then you were not there and are only a book expert, as everyone is called now....what a joke.
