Andrea Whittemore-Goad

I have had ME since I was eleven years old. When I was diagnosed at the age of 12 I was told there was no treatment and no cure. I dealt with a relapsing remitting form of ME. I was on and off of homebound until the age of 17. Until I began getting progressively worse, living with ME was about symptomatic treatment, integrative therapy, pacing, yoga, and nutrition. I progressed to a level where I was bedridden and began having severe neurological complications. I couldn't comprehend enough to write ,walk or speak for days at a time. I am an ex- Ampligen patient of 8 years and experimental IV treatments. I was blessed to have access to great doctors but I met others who were suffering. My family, friends and advocate friends decided it was time to do something about this. I've always wanted a place for patients to go get the care they so desperately deserved. I created Cure 4 ME in 2009 when I chose to get involved full time. I want to make a difference . I want to help find a cure 4 me and 17,000,000 others suffering. I was a child when I became sick. I want my family and all suffering to have hope for a brighter tomorrow. I will never give up! Please join me in this fight!
