State Privacy Rights Notice

Learn about your rights as a Causes user in California, Nevada, Colorado, Virginia, and Utah.

Effective date: March 24, 2025

This State Privacy Rights Notice supplements the Causes Privacy Policy and applies specifically to residents of California, Nevada, Colorado, Virginia, and Utah. It describes your rights regarding your personal information under applicable state laws.

California Residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the following rights:

• Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected, sources from which the information was collected, purposes for collecting the information, and with whom we shared it.
• Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA. If this practice changes, we will update this notice accordingly and provide an opt-out method.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights.

Nevada Residents

Nevada residents have the right to request that we not sell their personal information to third parties. To exercise this right, please contact us by email at privacy@causes.com. We currently do not sell personal information.

Colorado, Virginia, and Utah Residents

Residents of Colorado, Virginia, and Utah may have the right to:

• Access personal information collected about them.
• Request deletion or correction of personal information.
• Opt-out of targeted advertising or certain profiling activities.
• Appeal our decisions regarding privacy requests.

We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days.

Colorado, Virginia, and Utah Residents' Appeals

If we deny your privacy request, you may appeal by contacting us at privacy@causes.com with the subject line "Privacy Request Appeal." We will respond to your appeal within 60 days.
