I suffered horrible periods for years and years and then had eight early miscarriages when trying to start a family. I wonder now how much of this pain and heartache could have been avoided if I had been diagnosed when my symptoms started as a teen.

Instead I suffered for twenty years, was called a drug seeker, told it was in my head, and had to educate and advocate for myself until I finally discovered endometriosis excision surgery. After excision my symptoms were drastically improved and I went on to have a healthy pregnancy!

Now I worry that my daughter, whose chances of having endometriosis are 5 to 7 times higher because her mom has it, will have to go through the same struggle for adequate treatment if and when her time comes. Please, please update the standards of care for this very common and debilitating disease! Women deserve better!!
